Firstly, after deciding on an idea, Lazz will sketch the cartoon roughly in pencil and when satisfied, the drawing will then be outlined in black ink using brush and pen. Then, once completed the image will be either inked in, or coloured completely, again, using inks and a Devilbiss airbrush and compressor.

The Batman picture on the right took several days to complete and would cost in the region of £400 as a private commission including bespoke framing.

‘None of my cartoons are the product of computor graphic software. Each one is hand drawn and painted and if required, professionally bespoke framed by myself and mounted using only acid free conservation mountboard which eliminates the yellowing which is often seen around the edge of older framed pictures’.

Small simple cartoons start from around £50 upwards and inclusive in the price is ownership of world copyright.
